Some of the biggest mistakes in business are made when promoting successful individual producers into a vacant manager’s position. The traits, skills and disciplines required of a successful individual performer are radically different, and at odds, with those skills required to be an effective manager. If an individual producer does not quickly change their behaviors once promoted into a managerial role, their chance of success is severely limited.
Our manager training helps prepare junior executives, or those who are simply new to a managerial position, to be effective in their new role. This training is best started in advance of the promotion, but if that is not possible, then as soon after the promotion as possible, we should begin our work.
This program is similar to our Executive Development and Leadership Development curriculum, but it is targeted at a more junior level. Personal coaching is an important element of this training.
